Royals Split Series With Giants

ROYALS WIN 2-0 over the San Francisco Giants and win the final game of the 2 game series and split the series at one game a piece. It was a pitching duel as Jason Vargas for the Royals and Madison Bumgarner both pitched well but it was Vargas who got the upper hand. Vargas pitched 7 complete innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits, 0 walks and 9 strikeouts. The Royals will now go on the road on a 7 game, 2 series road trip starting with a 4 game series with the Texas Rangers beginning with game 1 tomorrow. Pitching tomorrow for the Rangers is Andrew Cashner and Danny Duffy will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 7:05 at Globe Life Park in Alrington. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Sweep Angels

ROYALS WIN 1-0 over the Los Angeles Angels and win the final game of the 3 game series completing the sweep. Ian Kennedy pitched 8 complete innings giving up 0 runs on just 2 hits 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. Kennedy turned it over to Kelvin Herrera pitched a 1-2-3 9th inning. With men on 1st and 3rd and 1 out in the bottom of the 9th inning Alcides Escobar hit a walk off single to right field scoring Raul Mondesi, who pinch ran for Salvador Perez, who was the only run of the game. The Royals have a day off tomorrow before finishing the homestand with a 2 game series against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday and Wednesday. Pitching the first game of the series Tuesday for the Giants is Matt Cain and Jason Hammel will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 7:15 at Kauffman Stadium. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Take Series Against Angels

ROYALS WIN 3-2 over the Los Angeles Angels and win the second game of the series, clinching at worst the series win. Like last night, the Angels got a run on the board in the first but the offense was able to pull out enough runs to get in front, with help from home runs from Brandon Moss and go ahead homer from Mike Moustakas in the bottom of the 8th. Nathan Karns pitched 6 complete innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Pitching the series finale tomorrow for the Angels is Tyler Skaggs and Ian Kennedy will pitch for the Royals as they try to get their first sweep of the season. Royals Win Series Opener Against Angels

ROYALS WIN 7-1 over the Los Angeles Angels and win game 1 of the 3 game series. The offense finally had a good night Royals fans have been looking for scoring 6 runs including a solo shot by Salvador Perez, his 5th of the year, and a 2-run bomb by Mike Moustakas. That is Moustakas' 4th homer of the young season. Danny Duffy pitched 7 complete innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Peter Moylan pitched a 1-2-3 8th inning and a scoreless 9th inning. Pitching game 2 of the series tomorrow for the Angels is Matt Shoemaker and Nathan Karns will pitch for the Royals. Royals Avoid Sweep

ROYALS WIN 3-1 over the Oakland Athletics and win the final game of the series, avoiding being swept. The offense didn't do a lot but they got the job done scoring 3 runs on 8 hits. Jason Vargas pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 0 runs on 4 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 8. Kelvin Herrera came on in the 9th inning and gets his first save of the season. The Royals will now start a 3 game series with the Los Angeles Angels beginning with game 1 tomorrow. Pitching for the Angels is JC Ramirez and Danny Duffy will pitch for the Royals. Royals Clinch First Series Win

Royals win 7-3 over the Houston Astros and clinch at worst a series win and improve to a record of 2-3. Salvador Perez hit a solo bomb for his 3rd home run of the season. Eric Hosmer hit a 2 run bomb for his 1st home run of the season. Chestlor Cuthbert also hit a solo shot for his 1st home run of the season. Danny Duffy gets his first win of the year and goes 1-0. For the Astros, Luke Gregerson received the loss making him 0-1. Danny pitched 7 complete innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts. For the winning Royals they scored 7 runs on 7 hits, and 0 errors. For the losing Astros 3 runs on 9 hits, and 1 error.

     Tomorrow's match up will begin 1:10 CT at the Houston Astros  and will feature the Royals trying to sweep the series. Tomorrow's game will include a battle between Nathan Karns for the Royals, and for the Astros Lance McCullers Jr.

Royals Take First W of Season.

Royals win 5-1 over the Houston Astros and win their first game of the season this Friday to make the Royals 1-3. Jason Varges put on a impressive game going 6 complete innings, giving up 1 run, on 6 hits, 1 walk, and 6 strike outs. Salvador Perez hit his second home run of the season. The Royals scored 5 runs on 6 hits, no errors. While the Astros had 1 run on 6 hits and 1 error.

Tomorrow's game will start at 6:10 CT and will show a pictures battle between Danny Duffy and Dallas Keuchel at Houston.
