Royals Even Series With Tigers

ROYALS WIN 1-0 over the Detroit Tigers and win game 2 of the 3 game series. Eric Skoglund made his major league debut and pitched 6.1 innings of shutout baseball giving up just 2 hits, 1 walk and struck out 5 Tigers hitters. The only run of the game came on a 2-out RBI single by Eric Hosmer scoring Alcides Escobar from 3rd. The rubber match of the series tomorrow for the Tigers is Matthew Boyd and Ian Kennedy will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 7:15 at Kauffman Stadium. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Take Series In Cleveland

ROYALS WIN 5-2 over the Cleveland Indians and win game 2 of the 3 game series and clinch a series win. The Royals offense was carried by a total of 10 hits including a solo home run by Mike Moustakas in the 9th inning. That is home run number 13 for Moustakas. Jason Vargas pitched 5.2 innings giving up 2 runs on 9 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Matt Strahm, Peter Moylan and Joakim Soria pitched through the 8th inning and Kelvin Herrera came on in the 9th and recorded his 11th save of the season. Pitching the final game of the series tomorrow for the Tribe is Josh Tomlin and Danny Duffy will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 12:10 at Progressive Field. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Win 1st In Cleveland

Royals win game 1 of 3 in Cleveland 6-4. Brandon Moss hit his 9th shot of the season and it was 3-run bomb. Mike Moustakas made the highlight reel as he hit his 12th homer of the season to tie the game at 4 a piece. Mike Minor got the W today to make him 2-1. Kelvin Herrera got his 9th save of the season. The Royals scored 6 runs, on 11 hits, and 1 error. The Cleveland Indians scored 4 runs, on    6 hits, and 1 error.

     Game 2 tomorrow will start at 3:10 CT at Progressive Field, and will show a matchup between Danny Salazar for the Indians, vs Jason Vargas.

Royals Win Game 1 of Doubleheader

     Royals win 6-4 over Minnesota for the first time this season. Brandon Moss hit his 7th and 8th homerun today. Salvador Perez hit his 9th bomb of the season. Jorge Bonifacio hit his 4th. Mike Minor picked up the W today making Minor 1-1. The Royals gave up 4 runs, on 9 hits, 6 walks, and 1 error. The Twins gave up 6 runs, on 11 hits, and 0 errors.

     Game 2 of the double header will feature a battle betweem Ian Kennedy, and Adalberto Mejía at Target Field.

Royals Avoid Sweep

ROYALS WIN 5-1 over the New York Yankees and win the final game of the 3 game series and avoid being swept by the Yankees. Mike Moustakas hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 5th inning hitting his 10th homer on the year. Danny Duffy pitched 7 complete scoreless innings giving up 3 hits, 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. Mike Minor pitched a scoreless 8th inning and even though it wasn't a save situation, Kelvin Herrera came on and pitched the 9th inning. The Royals will now start a 10 game, 3 series road trip starting tomorrow night with game 1 of a 3 game series against the Minnesota Twins. Pitching tomorrow for the Twins is Hector Santiago and Nate Karns will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 7:10 at Target Field. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Complete Sweep Over O's

ROYALS WIN 9-8 over rhe Baltimore Orioles and complete the sweep. The Royals were down 5-0 going in to the top of the 4th inning when the Royals scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th to tie it, then 2 runs in the 5th, 1 run in the 6th and 1 run in the 7th. Kelvin Herrera pitched the 9th inning but still got the job done for his 8th save of the year. The Royals will have a day off tomorrow before continuing the homestand with a 3 game series with the New York Yankees starting on Tuesday night. The Yankees have not announced who will pitch for them at this time and Jason Hammel will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 7:15 at Kauffman Stadium. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Take Series From O's

ROYALS WIN 4-3 over the Baltimore Royals and win game 2 of the 3 game series and clinch at worst a series win. It was a back and forth game with each offense trading runs. It was win Brandon Moss hit his 6th homer of the year in the bottom of the 6th inning to give the Royals the lead 4-3. Nate Karns pitched 5 complete innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk and a career high 12 strikeouts. Kelvin Herrera got his 7th save of the season. Pitching the final game of the series tomorrow for the O's is Kevin Gausman and Chris Young will pitch for a series sweep for the Royals. Royals Win Over Orioles

ROYALS WIN 3-2 over the Baltimore Orioles and win game 1 of the 3 game series. Brandon Moss hit his 5th home run of the season in the bottom of the 5th inning. Danny Duffy pitched 7 complete innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Joakim Soria came on to pitch a scoreless 8th inning and Kelvin Herrera came in and pitched a scoreless 9th and gets his 6th save of the season. Royals Clinch Series With 6-0 win

Royals clich series with a 6-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Whit Merrifield hit his 3rd homerun of the season today. Jason Vargas got the win for the Royals today to make his record 5-1. Jason pitched 7 complete innings, no  runs, on 3 hits, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts. The final box score for the Royals was 6 runs, on 8 hits, and no errors. With the Rays getting 0 runs, on 4 hits, and 1 error.
 
 The Royals now go back to the K to face the Baltimore Orioles. It will feature Dylan Bundy vs. Danny Duffy at 7:15.

Royals Win In Extras

ROYALS WIN 7-6 in 12 innings over the Tampa Bay Rays and win game 2 of the 4 game series clinching at worst a series split. The Royals were down 4-0 at the end of the first inning and then down 5-1 at the end of 5. Then Salvador Perez hit a 2-run homer in the 6th inning (his 7th of the year) to pull within 2 and that sparked the offense. The Royals scored 2 in the 7th and 1 in the 8th to tie it up and send it into extras. In the 12th inning Mike Moustakas hit his 8th homer of the season and that put the Royals on top by 1. Rookie pitcher Jake Junis received his first career win and Kelvin Herrera came in to close it out in the bottom of the 12th for his 5th save of the season. Pitching game 3 of the series tomorrow for the Rays is Chris Archer and Jason Hammel will pitch for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 6:10 at Tropicana Field. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah

Royals Take Game 1 Over Tampa

ROYALS WIN 7-3 over the Tampa Bay Rays and win game 1 of the 4 game series. The offense was on fire tonight scoring 7 runs on a season high 13 hits including Drew Butera hitting his first homer of the season. Nathan Karns pitched 6.1 innings giving up just 1 run on 6 hits, 2 walks and he tied his career high with 10 strikeouts. Pitching game 2 of the series tomorrow for the Rays is Matt Andriese. Royals Take Game 1 Over Indians

ROYALS WIN 3-1 over the Cleveland Indians and win game 1 of the 3 game series. Eric Hosmer was a triple away from hitting for the cycle, hitting a single in the 1st, double in the 3rd inning, and a 458 foot 2-run homer in the 5th to give the Royals a 2-1 lead. Alcides Escobar hit a RBI double in the 6th inning scoring Jorge Bonifacio to give the Royals the extra insurance run. Jason Hammel pitched 6 complete innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Scott Alexander pitched a 1-2-3 7th inning, Joakim Soria pitched a 1-2-3 8th inning and Kelvin Herrera gets the save. Game 2 tomorrow will not be on local channels because the game is being broadcasted nationally on Fox Sports 1. Pitching for the Tribe is Josh Tomlin and Jason Vargas will pitch for the Royals. Royals Offense Waking Up

ROYALS WIN 6-1 over the Chicago White Sox and win game 3 of the 4 game series and clinch at worst a series split. After being shut out 6-0 last night the Royals turn the tables as this time on they end up on winning side of the scoreboard. The offense scored all of their runs on 9 hits as all but 2 of the Royals hitters received at least one hit. Nathan Karns pitched 6 complete innings giving up 0 runs on just 1 hit, 1 walk and 7 K's. Royals End Losing Skid

ROYALS WIN 6-1 over the Chicago White Sox and win game 1 of the 4 game series and more importantly end their 9 game losing streak. The Royals got another good pitching performance out of Jason Vargas as he pitched 6 complete innings giving up just 1 run on 5 hits, 3 walks and 1 strikeout. The offense finally exploded for 6 runs on 9 hits behind a pair of 2-run bombs by Jorge Bonifacio in the bottom of the 4th inning, his 2nd of the season and his young career, and Eric Hosmer in the bottom of the 7th, also his 2nd of the year.
