Royals Take Series Opener From Tigers

ROYALS WIN 8-6 over the Detroit Tigers and win game 1 of the 3 game series. It was a pretty typical Royals day offensively as all of the Royals 8 runs came with 2 outs. Salvador Perez had a huge day at the plate with 5 RBI's highlighted by a 3-run homer in the 5th inning. The final score may not necessarily reflect it but Yordono Ventura pitched a pretty good game today going 5 complete innings giving up just 2 runs on 5 hits, 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.
