Royals End Losing Skid

ROYALS WIN 6-1 over the Chicago White Sox and win game 1 of the 4 game series and more importantly end their 9 game losing streak. The Royals got another good pitching performance out of Jason Vargas as he pitched 6 complete innings giving up just 1 run on 5 hits, 3 walks and 1 strikeout. The offense finally exploded for 6 runs on 9 hits behind a pair of 2-run bombs by Jorge Bonifacio in the bottom of the 4th inning, his 2nd of the season and his young career, and Eric Hosmer in the bottom of the 7th, also his 2nd of the year. The teams aces will square off in game 2 tomorrow as José Quintana will pitch for the Sox and Danny Duffy for the Royals. The game is scheduled for 7:15 at Kauffman Stadium. #RaisedRoyal #RoyalNoah
