Royals Take First Game In San Francisco

ROYALS WIN 8-1 over the San Francisco Giants and win game 1 of the 2 game series. The Royals were down by 1 when they scored 2 runs in the top of the 3rd inning and the rest was insurance runs. Scoring the remaining 6 runs in the top of the 6th inning including a RBI triple by Whit Merrifield with the bases loaded clearing the bases. Jason Vargas pitched 7 complete innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits, 1 walk and recorded 6 strikeouts.
