Royals Take Series Over Tribe

ROYALS WIN 12-5 over the Cleveland Indians and win game 2 of the 3 game series and clinch at least a series win. The Royals were down 3-0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning when they scored 6 runs capped off by a 2-run homer by Lorenzo Cain, his 3rd homer of the season. The Royals scored 5 more runs in the bottom of the 7th inning and 1 run in the 8th inning to give some insurance for the bullpen. Jason Hammel pitched 6.2 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, 0 walks and 7 strikeouts. Pitching game 3 tomorrow for the Tribe is Trevor Bauer and Eric Skoglund will pitch for the Royals.
