Royals End Losing Streak With Walk Off

ROYALS WIN 4-3 over the Texas Rangers and win the final game of the series avoiding being swept and ending a 5 game losing streak. Ian Kennedy pitched 6.2 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. With the game tied in the bottom of the 9th inning and the bases loaded with 2 outs, Lorenzo Cain hit a fly ball to right field. Rangers right fielder Shin-Soo Choo lost the ball in the sun and dropped the ball allowing Alex Gordon to score the winning run from 3rd. The Royals will now welcome the Detroit Tigers to the K for a 4 game series starting tomorrow. Pitching tomorrow for the Tigers is Jordan Zimmermann and Jason Vargas will pitch for the Royals.
