Royals Avoid Sweep

ROYALS WIN 3-1 over the Oakland Athletics and win the final game of the series, avoiding being swept. The offense didn't do a lot but they got the job done scoring 3 runs on 8 hits. Jason Vargas pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 0 runs on 4 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 8. Kelvin Herrera came on in the 9th inning and gets his first save of the season. The Royals will now start a 3 game series with the Los Angeles Angels beginning with game 1 tomorrow. Pitching for the Angels is JC Ramirez and Danny Duffy will pitch for the Royals.
