The Los Angeles Dodgers have shut down pitcher Clayton Kershaw indefinitely due to back pain, according to manager Dave Roberts. Kershaw has been out since June 26, when he felt pain in his lower back after pitching against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Dodgers placed him on the 15-day DL on June 30. Kershaw pitched in a simulated game on Saturday, but then felt pain again on Sunday. There is no timetable for when he will return, either.
