The Chicago Cubs have acquired closer Aroldis Chapman from the New York Yankees. The Yankees will get prospect Gleyber Torres, pitcher Adam Warren and two other prospects in return.

The Yankees acquired Chapman from the Cincinnati Reds back on Dec. 28. He recorded a 2.01 ERA and 44 strikeouts over his time with the Bronx Bombers. He was suspended the first 30 games of the season for violating the league's domestic abuse policy.

The Washington Nationals were also interested in Chapman, but the cost to get him for the final two months was too high for them, according to SB Nation. Since 2012, Chapman has led all relievers in strikeouts with 378. He also recorded a 1.90 ERA from 2012-2015.
