Royals Take Series Opener at Fenway

ROYALS WIN 6-3 over the Boston Red Sox and win game 1 of the series. The Royals scored 6 runs highlighted by a 3-run homer from Eric Hosmer in the 1st inning to put the Royals on the board and Alex Gordon hit a 2-run homer also in the 1st inning. Ian Kennedy pitched 5.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 9 hits, 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. Pitching game 2 tomorrow for the Sox is David Price and Danny Duffy will pitch for the Royals.
