Big Day For The Cubs / Fans
Today was the 31st annual Cubs Convention. The convention is about the Cubs talk about the new season, welcoming new players, and saying big news to the public. This year the Cubs Convention was packed no seats left everybody was there to welcome the new Cubs team. By far this have been the best Cubs Convention so far especially with Jason Heyward coming aboard and being with a different team. The most intriguing part of the Convention was that Jason Heyward read some of the hateful tweets that was made towards him by Cardinals fans that part was loving for the Cubs fans everyone was laughing and on one accord today. Schrawbs , Bryant , Russell had big chants from the crowd Rizzo herd the " MVP MVP MVP " chants to he set down. Other news was that Theo said the Cubs will not be making any other significant moves this offseason, so I think it's safe to say that The Cubs will be starting off with Baez and Soler on the roster. Rizzo was asked was this the best Convention " This crowd is amazing just waiting to get the season started " Schrawbs went on to say " We will win the NL Central ". Zobrist and Lackey received a loud ovation for their welcome of becoming a new member of the Cubs. The Cubs have a roster ready to make a run at the World Series this season. Theo Epstein stayed out the spotlight and couldn't stop smiling. This Cubs team by far will be the best team ever and will enjoy themselves every bit of the moment.
Cubs Avoid 5 Arbitration-Eligible Players
Hector Rondon - 4.2 Million
Travis Wood- 6.17 Million
Justin Grimm- 1.275 Million
Adam Warren- 1.7 Million
Pedro Strop - 4.4 Million
Two Odd Players Out
Jake Arrieta and Chris Coghlan are the two odd men out on the signings they have to Friday to get the deal done. Ironic that Coghlan and Arrieta both have the same agent (Scott Boras) Arrieta filed 13 Mill and the Cubs tried to give Jake 7Mill that's a big low blow to a CY Young Winner.
Updates Coming Tomorrow
cubs fans are loving this moment second by second

ReplyDeleteCub fans are going to be happy this summer, especially those who have been patiently waiting for the total rebuild to bear fruit. Last year went above expectations....Fans gotta be careful not to expect too much, and have a letdown.
