Hunter Harvey to Undergo Tommy John Surgery

Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Hunter Harvey will undergo Tommy John surgery on Tuesday. The doctor that will do the procedure is Dr. Donald D'Alessandro.

Harvey left the game for Single-A Aberdeen on Saturday after throwing just 23 pitches. The cause was determined to be pain in his right flexor mass, a muscle in his elbow.

He was picked in the 22nd round of the 2013 MLB Draft. After surgery that removed a sports hernia back in May, however, he began pitching in the New York-Penn League.
