Miami Marlins pitcher Wei-Yin Chen has been placed on the DL with tenderness in his elbow. He was scheduled to pitch on Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Jarred Cosart will start in his place.

Miami signed Chen to a five year deal worth $80 million back in January. He has recorded a 5-4 record with a 4.99 ERA this season. In his last start last Wednesday, also against the Phillies, he gave up 11 hits and four runs in just 5 1/3 innings pitched.

Cosart, who is being called up from Triple-A New Orleans, hasn't started in the majors since April. He is 0-1 with a 7.98 ERA for the Marlins this season.
