Royals Win First Game Of The Second Half

ROYALS WIN 8-4 over the Detroit Tigers and win game 2 of the 3 game series. The Royals win their first game after the all star break as the offense exploded and got to the Tiger starter early. The Royals scored 4 runs in the 1st and 1 in the 2nd inning to force the Tigers to go to their bullpen after just 1.2 innings. Royals pitcher Danny Duffy gave up 4 runs on 6 hits, 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. Wade Davis came off of the DL today and pitched a scoreless 9th inning. Pitching the rubber match of the series tomorrow for the Tigers is Michael Fulmer and Yordono Ventura will pitch for the Royals.
